Objectives:

• Introduce and welcome new Reference Group members
• Position the FP2020 Reference Group for a successful meeting in June by discussing time-sensitive issues and teeing up priority discussions that warrant additional attention and in-person dialogue:
  • Implementing FP2020’s new strategic direction
  • Galvanizing the family planning community to increase efforts towards 2020
  • Progress toward the 2020 goal
  • Influencing and integrating with the new global financing, accountability and development mechanisms
• Reference Group members highlight actions taken to champion and lead advocacy efforts for family planning in their individual and institutions roles since their commitments at the October 2015 meeting; provide new Reference Group members with an opportunity to make commitments
