Regional Hubs

North, West and Central Africa

The North, West, and Central Africa (NWCA) hub—based in Abuja, Nigeria—covers 30 countries in the region.

The NWCA Hub in Abuja, Nigeria, spearheads the family planning movement to support widespread change in the realm of reproductive health and autonomy.

The NWCA hub—based in Abuja, Nigeria—is hosted by Population Council Nigeria. Working in both French and English, the hub creates connections to build the family planning movement.

Adolescents and Youth

West and Central Africa’s (WCA) population is predominantly young. More than 64% are under the age of 24. We know adolescents and youth face unique barriers to accessing family planning services. FP2030’s Center of Excellence for Adolescents and Youth, based at the NWCA hub, will work with youth leaders ensure to center the needs and voices of young people in family planning policies and programs.
