objectives

Profamilia Colombia Commitment Narratives

  • Continue fighting for the expansion and empowerment of sexual and reproductive rights for all individuals. Consequently, we will provide sexual and reproductive health services free of charge to at least 140,000 refugees, migrants, and host community members belonging to vulnerable populations with limited access to healthcare services. These services will be provided with a differential approach, considering the specific needs of the population from an intersectional perspective.
  • By 2024, Profamilia commits to expanding health services in order to reach and serve at least 200,000 individuals through mobile brigades and extramural services, thereby bringing healthcare closer to those who need it most.
  • Improve access to Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE) in Colombia, enabling at least 100,000 young people under the age of 28 to participate in CSE workshops, with the aim of strengthening the empowerment of adolescents and youth in the enjoyment of their sexual and reproductive rights.
  • By 2024, we will have implemented a technological solution that improves access to self-care in abortion, empowering pregnant individuals who require safe and barrier-free access to abortion.
  • In order to promote a regional movement that advances and promotes sexual and reproductive rights, Profamilia commits to generating at least four regional initiatives (in Latin America and the Caribbean) that promote the advancement and enjoyment of sexual and reproductive rights.
  • Provide contraceptive products and services to the population in Colombia. In this regard, by 2024, Profamilia commits to providing at least 4,100,000 person-years of contraceptive protection (PYCP) through the provision of healthcare services and the delivery of short-, medium-, and long-term contraceptives.
