Fernando Ruiz is MEL & RESEARCH Adviser FP2030 for Family Planning 2030, reporting directly to Executive Director, Maria Paula Martinez. Fernando Ruiz is a sociologist and demographer with an outstanding academic background, including a PhD in Demography from the Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona studies at the European Doctoral School of Demography, a Masters in Population and Development from FLACSO and a degree in Sociology from the Universidad Nacional de Colombia. Fernando has participated in important scientific research projects and has made interesting publications on critical social issues in the field of demography and public health. We are very pleased to see Fernando’s professional growth and development within the organization and to welcome his contributions to the Family Planning 2030 Regional Hub. We are confident that his vision and experience will be an important contribution to the achievement of our institutional goals.
