IntraHealth International
IntraHealth International is a global health nonprofit that has worked in over 100 countries since 1979. They improve the performance of health workers and strengthen the systems in which they work so that everyone everywhere has the health care they need to thrive.
To help achieve their goals, they plan to support governments who have made commitments to FP2030 to expand access to and quality of family planning and reproductive health information, counseling, and services. Health workers are key to making this happen—from helping couples space or limit pregnancies to helping adolescents plan their futures, health workers can provide a full range of services for clients at any stage of their
reproductive lives.

IntraHealth International Commitment Narratives
- Strengthen partnerships: Leverage existing and establish new partnerships to support governments in strengthening their health workforces to provide high-quality family planning services in the context of people-centered care.
- Integration of family planning: Focus on integrating family planning with other services to increase access and improve health system efficiency.
- Task-sharing and access expansion: Implement task-sharing and other approaches to expand access to family planning services, supported by policy changes as necessary.
- Method availability: Increase the range of available family planning methods, including ensuring the availability of implant and IUD removal services, at all levels of the health system to expand access and improve equity.
- Family planning integration: Introduce and support national scale-up of family planning integration into selected maternal and child health services, with a focus on postpartum and postabortion family planning.
- Skills in long-acting reversible contraceptives and permanent methods: Build health workers’ skills in long-acting reversible contraceptives and permanent methods, including removals, to increase access to the full method mix.
- Female health workforce development: Develop the female health workforce through online training approaches in key countries to address the family planning and broader health needs of underserved communities.
