FP2030 engages on both the global and country levels to facilitate knowledge-sharing, resource-matching, and technical support for Postpartum and post-abortion Family Planning.

How FP2030 Supports
Postpartum & Post-Abortion Family Planning
1
Knowledge Sharing
FP2030’s Country Support team facilitates knowledge sharing between countries through webinars and learning exchanges on postpartum family planning/post-abortion family planning (PPFP/PAFP). We also provide resources to help countries implement successful programs.
2
Technical Support
FP2030 helps countries prioritize postpartum family planning/post-abortion family planning (PPFP/PAFP) by collaborating with Focal Points to incorporate it into national plans and commitments. This strengthens the healthcare system’s ability to provide high-quality services.
3
Global Steering Committee
FP2030 leads the PPFP/PAFP Steering Committee, which coordinates efforts, resolves issues, and promotes collaboration among major donors and technical partners. The committee ensures a comprehensive approach to advancing PPFP/PAFP globally and in individual countries.
4
High Impact Practices
FP2030 actively promotes HIPs, which are effective postpartum and post-abortion family planning interventions. By encouraging the implementation of evidence-based approaches to PPFP/PAFP, we are helping countries improve the accessibility and quality of services available to women during these periods.
5
Strategic Learning Exchanges
FP2030 facilitates global learning exchanges on PPFP/PAFP programs, promoting collaboration and shared knowledge among countries. These exchanges strengthen the capacity to provide adequate family planning services to women after childbirth or abortion.
