The MTV Staying Alive Foundation is a non-profit organization that focuses on using the power of media and popular culture to educate and raise awareness about HIV/AIDS and sexual and reproductive health.

It is affiliated with Viacom International Media Networks, a global entertainment company. The foundation implements various media campaigns and initiatives to reach young people, particularly in Nigeria and India, with the goal of promoting positive behavior change and improving health outcomes.

By combining entertainment with health messaging, MTV aims to implement similar programming and communications in Nigeria and Egypt in 2018, as well as in India by 2020. This commitment includes producing all the content rights cleared and distributing it at no cost to any other broadcaster or organization globally, creating the potential to reach hundreds of millions of people.
