International Youth Alliance for Family Planning

IYCY is a leading organization, working nationwide at different levels to promote equitable and sustainable development, deliver humanitarian assistance, and other relevant interventions for a better life and well-being of communities and individuals.

By 2025, they expect to have built internal government support for changing this policy and to have established pilot CSE programs in Yemen. IYCY’s strategy plan prioritizes actions in such a way that supplies and services are directed to governorates with high levels of the most disadvantaged population.

IYCY will continue to work closely with local government UN agencies and International and National NGOs to provide and improve access to 30,000 women and girls and children with health and Reproductive Health Care and Nutrition services in several areas in Yemen by 2025.

International Youth Council-Yemen Commitment Narratives

  • Strengthening the Reproductive, Maternal, Newborn, Child and Adolescent Health (RMNCAH) Service Delivery Capacity in Yemen”, is to improve access to quality primary health care and strengthen the RMNCAH service delivery capacity in Yemen, by providing support to the Ministry of Health and Medical Services (MHMS) and Yemen governorates Health Office in implementation of the National Health Strategic Plan.
  • Strengthen health governance, administration and management capacity of the local health offices in planning, budgeting, implementing and monitoring in Yemen, in order to provide health facilities with essential health infrastructure and equipment, essential medicines, core staffing and skilled health workers, and essential registers, manuals, guidelines and forms.
  • Develop health service delivery capacity of the RMNCAH and community health by organizing training programs for doctors, nurses, nurse aids and community health workers, while improving collection and analysis capacity of essential health data and information.
