Llanto, Valor y Esfuerzo (LLAVES)

FUNDHEG was created in 2019 by a group of women who joined forces and individual experiences to build a collective space that provides answers to some of the most pressing problems faced by women, young people and LGBTIQ+ people living in northern Argentina.

Some of these problems are the lack of access to justice, barriers to access to sexual and reproductive rights, gender violence and discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity. Today our organization, led mainly by women and trans people, seeks to support young people and vulnerable populations to access sexual and reproductive rights and a life free of violence and discrimination.

vision Vision

We carry out actions in Argentina, especially in the northern part of the country.

  1. In Argentina, we will provide training in comprehensive sexual education (ESI) to 50 young people and people of different backgrounds in 2024, and to 100 young people in 2025 to promote their role as leaders and multipliers in their communities.
  2. In Argentina, we will provide 200 sexual and reproductive health care services with an emphasis on gender-based contraception methods in rural areas with difficult access to health services annually for women and youth. By 2025, we will expand to 400 services.
  3. In Argentina, we will provide sexual and reproductive health services in urban areas for 700 women, youth and diverse people, and we plan to expand to 1,500 by 2025.
  4. Argentina has signed several international human rights commitments, so, as civil society organizations, we will continue to monitor compliance with these commitments (SDG, Population and Development Platform, Montevideo Consensus, G20, Beijing Platform for Action), in addition to national laws that protect the rights of women, children, youth and the LGBTIQ+ population.
