The European Commission has consistently demonstrated its commitment to advancing family planning services and promoting sexual and reproductive health rights (SRHR).
It is actively implementing its comprehensive Gender Action Plan, designed to foster gender equality and empower individuals in exercising their SRHR.

In 2012, the European Commission committed EUR28.3 million to family planning services for 2013. Building upon this previous commitment to increase access to family planning and to promote sexual and reproductive health rights (SRHR), the European Commission allocated EUR20 million to UNFPA Supplies in 2017.
