Ethiopia is a committed member of the global family planning movement and has made significant progress in expanding access to family planning services over the past decade.
Ethiopia has also prioritized adolescent and youth-friendly family planning services, recognizing the importance of reaching young people with information and services to prevent unintended pregnancies and promote healthy reproductive behaviors. The country has implemented a national youth reproductive health strategy and has established youth-friendly service corners in health facilities to provide confidential and accessible services to young people.

About Ethiopia's Ministry of Health
The activities of the Family Planning case team include scaling up family planning service uptake, providing integrated catchment-based mentorship to selected health posts, ensuring postpartum family planning coverage, promoting long-acting reversible contraceptive coverage, advocating for health care financing, ensuring family planning commodity security and supply chain management, organizing awareness-raising forums on family planning and sexual and reproductive health services, maintaining a guidelines and standards portal, developing national family planning guidelines, facilitating value clarification and attitude transformation, and promoting public-private mix approaches.
