Ascociación Hondureña de Planificación de Familia ...

We are a non-profit, non-governmental organization, legally established on January 11, 2001, by a group of young Araucanian professionals.

APOYAR was born as a bet of hope at a critical moment in our territory with the firm conviction of being able to transform exclusionary practices into more democratic and egalitarian interactions.

APOYAR is an organization with broad institutional and community recognition. It belongs to institutional spaces such as the Committees on Human Trafficking and the Prevention and Attention to Gender-Based Violence. It participates in the departmental and municipal CONPOS of Arauca. It is a member of the Interagency Group for Mixed Migratory Flow (GIFMM) and the Local Coordination Team (ELC) of Arauca.

We are convinced that working with communities based on ethics, respect, recognition of one another, diversity and transparent relationships, strengthens and develops human capacities for true development.

We seek to establish dialogues that allow us to strengthen and develop human capacities to contribute to building a country where peace, equality and social justice are a reality for all people.

In the department of Arauca, Colombia, we will provide annually 2,800 adult women, young women and adolescents with family planning services with a focus on rights and gender. Therefore, by 2027, aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) related to access to sexual, reproductive and menstrual health services, we will have reached 8,400 adult women, young women and adolescents, supporting their rights to continue with their educational projects, autonomy and the reduction of generational poverty.
