In 2012, the Aman Foundation made a financial commitment of US $5 million, which was matched by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, for family planning programs and initiatives. Their commitment focuses on program and service delivery, aiming to increase the number of new family planning users through improved quality of services, introduction to new contraceptive methods, innovative service-delivery interventions, and demand generation.

 

Aman Foundation Commitment Objectives

  • The AMAN Foundation is committed to improving the quality, equity, and dignity of healthcare services in Karachi. They collaborate with public and private health facilities to address issues such as low quality of care, inadequate knowledge of care providers, and lack of counseling.
  • They strive to increase the number of new family planning users and ensure that the needs of reproductive-age women are met with modern methods.
  • They provide information on maternal health, rights, puberty, communication skills, and responsible decision-making through initiatives like life skills-based education, support group meetings, and youth-friendly spaces.
