Over the course of her nine-year career, Azwa has developed a skill set directly relevant to accounting expertise, advance budgeting/forecasting and international reporting. She has consistently demonstrated critical thinking, multitasking and management ability in every aspect of her various roles.

Born and raised in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Azwa graduated from University Institute Technology Mara in Bachelor of Accountancy (HoNs) and is a certified accountant under Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA).

Azwa started her journey as an accountant in 2015 with Malaysian Institute of Chemistry until 2016. Malaysian Institute of Chemistry has grown in tandem with the rapid development of Malaysia to become a well-established and strong professional organisation recognised both locally and internationally. Her career began to crow in 2017 with Malaysian AIDS Council and Malaysian AIDS Foundation as Senior Finance Management before she was offered as Finance Manager in 2020.

Azwa has been involved in multiple projects and grants from local (Ministry of Health), international organisations (Global Fund, Australian Federation of AIDS organisation and Coalition PLUS in AIDS/HIV and HEP C sector) and corporate (Sunway, Sime Darby Foundation, PERKESO, MWAIP, MAIP).

In November 2022, she was approached to work with International Committee of The Red Cross as Accounting Manager. The ICRC operates worldwide, helping people affected by conflict and armed violence and promoting the laws that protect victims of war. An independent and neutral organization, its mandate stems essentially from the Geneva Conventions of 1949.
