Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation Commitment Objectives
- Invest in new and improved contraceptive methods that meet the needs and preferences of women and girls.
- Focus on developing methods that women can use independently.
- Invest in training and supporting private sector providers, including drug shops/pharmacies and e-pharmacies.
- Respond to women’s and girls’ preferences for privacy and convenience.
- Invest in implementing FP High Impact Practices, such as postpartum family planning, at scale.
- Report annually on the total disbursements for family planning in the previous calendar year.
- Enable tracking of progress towards the commitment amount of $1.4 billion from 2021 to 2026.
