FEIM REDNAC
Chicos.net promotes the rights of children, adolescents and young people in digital environments, with the aim of exercising a full digital citizenship, from an active, critical and creative role, in a protected and violence-free environment.
We address fundamental issues for the defense and promotion of Sexual and Reproductive Rights, with a Comprehensive Sexual Education approach. Among these are the construction of positive relationships and digital coexistence, sexting and the need for consent, misinformation, hate speech, exposure to inappropriate content, prevention of digital gender violence, and violence perpetrated by adults such as grooming and the production of child sexual abuse material.
Commitments made to:
By strengthening teachers’ and families’ capacities, we reach children, adolescents and young people of all ages and educational levels, with proposals according to the different growth stages. For 2026, we anticipate further expanding our reach and nurturing our current proposals while incorporating new and emerging themes.
Chicos.net Commitment Narratives
- To strengthen the training of 3300 educators in Argentina and the region on Comprehensive Sexuality Education, especially applied to digital environments’ rights. We have 3 training proposals that we will continue to disseminate, promote and update during these two years.
- To strengthen 5000 families’ capacities to accompany the digital upbringing of their sons and daughters, with a Human Rights and gender perspective. We have different channels to reach out to families where we disseminate information and invite them to participate in free activities.
As part of our work, we also carry out surveys and research to learn about the main trends and global demands on the issues we address, and thus generate evidence to develop our programs and initiatives. In addition, we support organizations in digital communication, responsible use of ICTs and participation activities of children and adolescents in digital media.
