The David and Lucile Packard Foundation is committed to expanding access to sexual and reproductive health services, including comprehensive sexuality education and family planning.
They work with various stakeholders, including governments, NGOs, and multilateral organizations, to advocate for policy changes, mobilize funding commitments, and strengthen the political will to support family planning initiatives.

The David and Lucile Packard Foundation committed US$24 million per year between their original commitment in 2012 and 2020 for family planning. As part of this commitment, the Packard Foundation will establish grantmaking strategies that are aligned with the goals of the London Summit on Family Planning.

- Strengthen political support and funding commitments for family planning worldwide.
- Improve political and financial support for family planning in Ethiopia, Uganda, and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
- Promote family planning commitments within the development agendas of sub-Saharan African countries.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to enhance access and quality of family planning services in South Asia.
- Work with governments and organizations to increase political will and financial resources for family planning.
- Champion quality and rights in family planning services, measure and monitor quality, and advocate for improvements.
- Support youth-led initiatives, address the needs of young populations, and challenge social and gender norms.
- Establish strategies aligned with the London Summit on Family Planning, improve program effectiveness, and empower women and girls to make informed decisions.
